Welcoming New Patients to Our Gastroenterology Practice
What to expect
Dr. Palmadessa, Dr. Brodsky and the staff at Palmadessa & Brodsky Gastroenterology look forward to meeting you.
Our patients are seen by appointment only. Our goal is to see our patients on or near schedule. However, emergencies may unfortunately occur. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause our patients.
In order to help your experience with us be as comfortable as possible, here is some information about what to expect on your first visit. Depending on your situation, your doctor will ask you a series of questions about your health history, symptoms and other related questions. Then, you will undergo a physical examination that will assist the physician in determining more about your condition. After the physical examination, the doctor will speak with you and give you some recommendations for treatment.
Please bring the following with you to your appointment.
- Health Insurance Cards/Information
- Referral if required by your insurance
- Photo ID
- List of all medications you are taking
- List of your questions/concerns
- Photocopies of any recent labs, procedure results, and imaging study results (e.g. CAT scans, x-rays, MRIs)
Being well prepared for your appointment will ensure that the doctor has all of the needed information to provide the best possible care for you. It will also help alleviate any unnecessary anxiety you may be feeling prior to your first appointment.
Our office participates in the majority of health plans, including the NYS Exchange Plans under the Affordable Care Act. You may verify our participation in your plan when you schedule your appointment, so that you may obtain the most up-to-date information. Accommodations are also available for patients without health insurance.
