Q: What insurance plans do you accept?
A: Our office participates in the majority of health plans, including the NYS Exchange Plans under the Affordable Care Act. You may verify our participation in your plan when you schedule your appointment, so that you may obtain the most up-to-date information.
Q: Where are your endoscopic procedures performed?
A: All of our procedures, with the exception of capsule endoscopy, are performed at Queens Endoscopy Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC). Queens Endoscopy ASC is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the New York State Department of Health as a freestanding ambulatory facility for endoscopic procedures. It is located in the Utopia Center in Fresh Meadows, NY. Parking is available on premises.
Q: Is the endoscopy facility accredited and does it participate with my insurance?
A: Queens Endoscopy is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the NYS DOH as a freestanding ambulatory facility for endoscopic procedures. It participates with most health insurance plans.
Q: What hospitals are your physicians affiliated with?
A: North Shore University Hospital at Manhasset, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York Hospital Queens.
Q: Do I need an escort, or can I drive home after sedation?
A: If you are having a colonoscopy or an upper endoscopy, you must make arrangements to have a responsible adult escort you home from the center. An escort is also required following a sigmoidoscopy if you will be receiving sedation. If you are unable to have an escort meet you at the center, car service may be available.
Q: How long can I expect my consultation to be?
A: Initial office consultations are usually 20 to 45 minutes duration, depending upon the complexity of your gastrointestinal issues.
Q: What are the preparations you utilize for colonoscopy?
A: Osmoprep (pills), Miralax/Gatorade preparation, Moviprep, and Suprep. The type of preparation is decided by the physician after reviewing your medical history, personal preferences (pill or liquid) and your prescription plan formulary.

A: We have plenty of reserved parking spaces at both our consultative office in Douglaston, NY as well as at Queens Endoscopy, ASC, all protected from the elements.
Q: I live in Flushing; can I make an appointment at your office?
A: Yes, abosolutely! Even though we are located in Douglaston, we frequently see patients from all over Queens, NY, including New Hyde Park, Laurelton, Bayside, Fresh Meadows, Little Neck, Jamaica, St. Albans, College Point and White Stone.
